Chapter Twenty-One: Sweet, Sweet, and Sweeter

Since this is their first real date, Tyson tries to make it special. Although Tyson may not be a romantic at heart, he does know that girls like flowers. Of course, they have to be blood red, but he hopes she likes them all the same.

"Please like them, please like them, please like them!" He thinks frantically, giving Roxanne his best puppy eye impression. He didn't need to worry though, as Roxanne beams with the impromptu gift.

Roxanne is so pleased with her gift, she gives him a soft kiss on the lips. Tyson deepens the kiss into a slow, yet passionate, kiss. He can't get enough of the taste of her lips against his.

However, Roxanne reluctantly has to leave, despite the evident longing in her eyes. "I'm sorry Tyson! I want this date to last forever, but I have to go into work. I'll see you soon Ty!" She rushes off, leaving Tyson longing for just one more kiss good-bye.

It's Thorne and Rosaline's birthday today! Thorne invites so many people, the living room is packed and there are even people waiting outside.

"Cake is great! What's this for anyway?" Thorne squeals, forgetting that he was the one that planned the whole party.

"What the-! Ow, Mama!" Thorne curls up into a ball, shooting pain coursing through his veins. Said Mama is struggling to get inside to join the party.

The pain suddenly disappears, and Thorne jumps for joy. "It's my birthday!" He cries, finally figuring out the reason for the party.

Tyson isn't sure whether to be joyous that his little brother is growing up or scared that he has another rival for Roxanne's affections. He grins uncertainly, not able to see how creepy that look is on him.

Thorne stoically stares teenage-hood on, vowing to never let his insanity stop him from having the life he desires.

While everybody stares at the hunka burnin' love that is Thorne Marlin, Rosaline celebrates her birthday at a quieter part of the living room. Tyson hasn't noticed yet that Roxanne has come to pick up her younger sister Danielle Broke, who oddly has blond hair.

Roxanne may look like she's about to run away from, or perhaps pounce on, the newly grown Rosaline, but she really just has to pee.

Leo Jones thinks this is the best birthday party ever, there are two birthday cakes!

The party may be over, but Tyson and Roxanne have some fun of their own.
